Mohan holds a business degree, MBA from the University of Warwick, and is a fully credited Chartered Engineer (M.I.Mech.E.). His area of interest covers the energy supply chain from generation, through transmission, storage, distribution and to utilisation with specific focus on integrating engineering process design and business models to optimise total business performance.
Mohan’s has been gained from over 30 years’ professional engineering in the energy and process industries undertaking all problem solving activities related to high-pressure systems and heat transfer. He has held senior positions with major energy companies, utility operators and engineering design companies (such as Jacobs Engineering and MW Kellogg) gaining expertise in business development, natural gas transportation, power generation, model-based diagnostics, compressed natural gas vehicles refuelling systems and dynamic process simulation.
In engineering consultancy, Mohan provides engineering advice and expert services with specialist knowledge of the design and operation of gas-fired plant, rotating machinery and process engineering. Recent project have included: bio-methane (anaerobic digestion, particularly for agricultural biomass, food processing and brewing sectors); Wind power generation; Green Hydrogen; and energy storage (electrical and thermal systems).
As a Designated Competent Person in his profession, Mohan continues his professional development through presenting and co-authoring papers on gas turbine diagnostics and gas compressor design and performance.
